I had always believed my father had only one sister who married and emigrated and the family lost contact. Because my father was aWW2 hero and we were repeatedly looking for his lost medals, including his Military cross, I decided to join genes reunited and search! Imagine my delight now to have found my father had a brother and another sister, and although too late to meet them I can meet their descendents,my first cousins!I am having a family reunion to celebrate and one cousin is coming from New Zealand.Thank you for a great site and so many helpful people.I am busy writing a book now as the story took me to America and i met a WW2 veteran who knew my Dad,and not only did we find the medal but we now know exactly how his life was saved by a German surgeon when he was captured
