Success Stories

My Uncle Fred knew the Northcott family came from Somerset and there was a grave in the village. Having seen the grave and village I was fired up to find out more. That was in the 80's and it took me 7 years of hard slog to find out who the lady buried in the grave was - she was Mary Anne Northcott and was the wife of the younger brother of my Great Grandfather.
On my Mothers side I drew a blank and couldn't get back further than 1899 although I had lots of info from then onwards. It gets more interesting because I married my cousin and so we share the same history.
Having picked it up again recently I was contacted by a long lost relative, and being spurred on I have become obsessed again only this time it is so much easier and I can do it from my lounge! In one week as a Gold member I have found 3 branches of the Northcott family going back to 1805, found lots of info and gone back two generations on my Mothers (husbands) side of the family.
The only problem is that I am supposed to be studying for my degree and GR is not distracting!!!!!!!
