As my Daughter and Son were addopted 14 years ago, and without the addoptive name, my sister thought that the search for them would be fruitless, yes unknown to me she looked for them - firstly tyring the surname they had been given at birth. she found someone who had the same first name and date of birth but a differnt surname. This did turn out to be my daughter. It appears that they had been trying to locate me for a few years, but a change of surname on my behalf had caused problems - also being told I lived at the opposite end of the country did not help. I have now been in touch with them both, and have become a granny. Hoping to meet up with them in the very near future
