Success Stories

In 1918 a little girl was taken from her mother also her two siblings, she was placed into Dr Barnardos childrens home, her mother frail sick and unable to cope, after years of hardship through death and sickness. It was the last time she saw her mother and her siblings. In 1925 she was then sent back to live with her mothers brother, in the East End of London. In 1930 she had her first child, by 1953 she had 11 children., and live time of hard work.
She was strong compassionate, unselfish and proud, she lived until she was 97 years old, all her children loved her. She was my mother Nellie. After Nellie died I was devistated at her loss, it was then I decided to trace her lost mother and siblings.
I bought my self a laptop and joined Genes Reunited. I was off on a journey only with the information I had from mum's little story of her mother brother and sister, that she last seen at the age 8 years old.
After many many months, days,and hours on the laptop, I joined the community posted adds. and there was no stopping me then. I found my mother's siblings along with photographs I had never ever dreamed of seeing, let alone holding and now adorning my home.
I cannot thank all those people enough, on Genes Reunited for their help, for my success, and more than that helping me through the great loss of my beloved mother Nellie.
