My partners grandmother sadly passed away last month. She had a very upsetting childhood and was taken into care when she was five years old following the death of her mother.

I still do not know what became of her father, but i have been able to get in touch with several family members through GR.

Nancy (his grandmother) was separated from two of her sisters and her brother, and I have been in touch with the descendants of three siblings, just missing one in South Africa.

I am very pleased that my partner can now begin to build bridges on his nans behalf as she missed them dearly and there was not a day that went past when she didnt think of them. Sadly, she was not well enough to know of our discovery, but we are determind that we will not give up on an opportunity to get to know her nieces and nephews.

Thanks GR for bringing us many more branches on our family that we thought were lost forever.
