Found my father after 38 years

I have been soo fortunate to find my dad within 6 weeks of searching using this site last year. A kind soul did some digging for me and came up with a really unusal name that made tracing much easier. It hasn't all been plain sailing however, and although contact has been made successfully it has been a painful journey at times. Thankyou to everyone who has helped me. I would just like to say to any adoptees searching...keep yourselves safe and take every step at your own pace. It's your journey and you may receive many offers of help and information from well meaning 'searchers' but not everyone realises the impact adoption may have had. |
