Whilst doing research for my family tree I was looking for information on my half sister and any help!
Did the usual put out threads and asked for help but it lead up till now to nothing, and sadly still hasn't been sorted.
I check all the hot matches regularly and for any messages etc., there was a message asking about my other sister as they had been alerted to a hot match?
Now the story behind this part of the family is that my sister fell pregnant at an early age and my mother thought the best thing to do was to put the baby up for adoption, my sister didn't actually want this but at the time it was felt to be the better thing as my mother didn't feel she would cope, and so unfortunately she had the baby and the adoption took place!
The new message I recieved was from a gentleman that thought he could be my sisters son, which was a surprise in it's self, but because of the way the relationship between my mother and sister was nothing had been done about it and everyone had gone on with there lives, now my mother has passed and we have all lost contact for a while and done our own things.
This made us get the contact back we made the effort and the icing on the cake is he is her son and she herself has tried to look for him and has always come to nothing, now there has been phonecalls and hopefully soon there will be that all important meeting and new start to a different chapter for all concerned.
All thanks to GENES and starting my family tree search, and now at least one family puzzle is solved and put into place.
