I would like to add my thanks to all the helpful people on genes reunited who have helped me in my search for family members, particularly Rona Wilkins who had done a lot of research and kindly shared it with me. She is a distant cousin I did not even know existed until I started my family tree.It has been so interesting to find out all about my grandparents who I never knew (as they had died before I was born). I have visited their graves and found my great grandad on the roll of honour at the church and also found distant cousins of my husbands , one in Canada!! who we knew nothing about. It has been lovely to share all the info with my elderly father and it has brought back so many memories for him and the rest of his family. I now visit the Archives and library to find out more about the family and then I am off again on a new journey of discovery, I do not think it will ever be completely finished as there is so much more that I keep finding out.I have also asked family members for photos and we are sharing copies and new info all the time. I would recommend it to anyone. this has opened up a whole new world, Thankyou so much.
