Just to say I've been very lucky with Hot matches and by putting just the bare details of known siblings of some my direct ancestors onto my branches and "widening" my tree, I have found nearly 50 people on here who have a link in some way, either by blood or marriage, to my husband's or my tree. I would like to thank each one of them for their kind generosity in providing and swapping information. I have even been lucky enough to be able swap family photos with some contacts and we've even had a family get together with two separate branches of the family who hadn't met for 50 years. This just wouldn't have been possible when I first started looking into this 25 years ago. We've still got a couple of brick walls to knock down, but I'm sure we'll get there eventually! |
