Thank you so much to CHRISTINE whose new research, means my old discarded stuff now makes sense.
There was a family story that Madge was brought up in a Liverpool orphanage but I couldn't find her, as she'd always said she was born in Fleetwood, where her husband was from.
Turns out she was actually born Limerick and now I've got the census records with her in the Liverpool orphanage and in Fleetwood.
