Thank you to all GU members who have taken time to help me. I have made contact with my father after 45 years, met my brother and a couple of uncles, and now keep in regular contact. I have learnt so much about my own family (ancestors and descendants) this year.

In addition, just about to give up hope finding my hubbies ancestors, some kind GU sole provided details from a census which included the correct spelling of a surname (which was why I couldnt find their right bmd certs)

Simply amending the spelling of the name in my tree, came up with lots of hot matches. I have now been in touch with cousins of my husband whom he never knew existed, shared photos and stories.

My tiny little family tree a few months ago has expanded into a huge family tree.

Again thank you to all those people who have access to and offer to research census and bmd records.
