Since recording my first success story on this website in January 2006 I’ve added well over 1,000 (yes a thousand) names to my husband's side of the tree. Whilst this process took place I’ve also made good friends with distant relatives – found through the hot match alerts.

I’m delighted to have added so many relatives living not only in the UK (where my family resides) but also in Australia, New Zealand, the USA and most recently Canada.

The list of my contacts is too long to mention everybody but THANK YOU ALL for sharing your information and in some cases for providing precious photographic mementoes of long departed family members. However, I owe a big debt of gratitude to Garry B for kick-starting my tree and for his constant support, advice and encouragement and not least for his excellent hints when I hit a brick wall.

There is still a lot of research to be done to find Jessie Holtham's ancestry and also my father's family, the Schwab from Switzerland, but bit by bit we are gradually getting an overall picture of our roots.

GenesReunited is definitely the best genealogy website – so easy to navigate through and making comparison of possible matches clear and easy.

Thank you all
Marianne
