An Amazing Success That's Brought Great Joy

Two weeks ago I came home from holiday to find an email from a friend asking for help for an elderly friend of hers. This friend was separated from her family as an 8 year old when she was evacuated from London during WW2. She was with two younger sisters, but they got split up, and this lady was never reunited with her family.

My friend wondered if I could find anything out about the family. When I read the email, I wanted to reply and say that it can’t be done. I would have no hope of having any success, as we would be dealing with living people, and I’m in Australia and they most likely would be in England.

But I decided to give it a go, and after some research, and then the help of Genes Re-United, amazingly this elderly lady and her daughter and grandchildren are now in contact with a brother she didn't even know she had.

Their joy was just so moving. And without Genes Re - United it wouldn't have happened.
