2 years ago through genes reunited we found a relative jack phillips.jack had found out at the age of 70 that he had 1 brother and 2 sisters,he decided to try and find them but with no luck until he joined genes reunited where myself and my sister were already members. he turned out to be our dad's brother.our dad was the only one in the family who didn't know about jack as it was decided that it would be kept from him. so this came as a big shock to dad when we showed him all the correspondence with jack..our dad contacted jack and 2 months later flew to scotland to meet him.they got on very well and spent alot of time talking on the phone and visiting one another.
we now have a whole new family which is great and everyone is trying to fill in the gaps of all the missing years and getting to know each other.
unfortunately jack passed away a week ago .but one thing we all know is that he died happy having found his family after 80 years.
