Now Nell was not a beauty, Although pleasant enough she was And she had a real sense of duty.
Whether to self, or country, people couldn’t tell But she herself knew it, And as will be seen, it was only to Dirty Nell!
What Nell lacked in looks she made up with charm. She could coax the blood out of an orange Without inflicting harm.
So she set her eyes on the Cobbler and her campaign began To turn this miserable weed Into her own very special man

I met a man the other day Where he was from he didn't say I'm guessing he lived somewhere south By the strange accent from his mouth.
He assumed we all wore sparking clogs And dressed in caps and tattered togs But I will say that to his merit He took a shine to my pet ferret :-P

My new cooker arrived first thing this morning It was here soon after the sun was dawning Even while the birds were still yawning My cooker came with the Hotpoint guy!
So now for the job of the installation Cos the cost for the wiring caused my indignation, a large inhalation and great consternation- At 80 Quid you can understand why!
Who did we know with the necessary skill? Who this 3 wire insertion could easily fulfil? So I could use oven, the hobs and the grill? My Son-In-Law was just that guy!
At last now the cooker S-I-L has put in and now for the cooking, it's time to begin So I'd better get out my old rolling pin And set about making a pie! ;-) :-D :-D

I have the answer, yes indeed! Allan's Thread gave the hint that I need If you can't decide upon the hues There's no need to be singing the blues ....

It won't be long before Our Allan's Awake Because down in Oz the day's about to break We Rhythm and Rhymers await the sequel All about the cobbler and his awful wife Nell
Or will Allan have a new tale to tell Which will get us all under the spell Of whatever his imagination does create I hope we don't have long to wait :-D

Izzy Wizzy Allan's been busy. Not on rhymes, or things as trite, but really busy both day and by night.
This situation is likely to remain, For a month or two until once again, Finger to keyboard once more I can press And can continue my poem without duress.
Installations, mainly Masonic, require much work And in my capacity such duties I can't shirk. Rehearsals and meetings and Rehearsals again I'm hoping that what is left of my sanity can remain.
The end of May is the goal in sight, although I may still be able to write some quick verses of the story I started Once I have again the Lodge departed
Today (that is Tuesday) is a good example Off the tribulations and trials that I sample. The meeting this morning is done in commemoration Of the epic ANZAC Military operation
Officially, ANZAC day is next week, But the Lodge decided to tweak The date, so that we wouldn't clash, With all the Official Ceremonies of class.
So sandwiches and soup I have to prepare To feed all the guests we hope will be there. I was going to prepare a chicken for fun, And then laugh at the guests as to the toilet they'd run.
However, I'm not so cruel a fella I'll just give them some good old Salmon (ella)
:-D :-D :-D

Hi Allan, I see you are back to that season When your duties they call you - your lodge you can't dodge. And so practice you must and with absentees reason So installations go well and without a great bodge.
And so all the best, I hope your participation's a success And the food goes down well, and without any stress
So I guess you're rehearsing your "silly dance" ;-) ;-) And this wonderful footwear your dance will enhance :-D :-D :-D

Kathy, I always pull Our Allan's Leg About what secret procedure Goes on in his Masonic Lodge His many talents to feature
I say he does a "silly dance" with lots of secret signs And around his lodge they all do prance According to strict guidelines!
But Allan knows it's all in jest Cos I know it's dear to him He knows I wish him all the best And he takes it on the chin ;-) :-D :-D

Well, the dance steps I may well do But not in that ugly, one eyed shoe, Our shoes, even if clothes we lack, Are always in fifty shades of black.
Around the Lodge, yes we prance, But not in some secret dance. We walk or stumble according to age, Around our Masonic stage.
And when, finally, the goat has been ridden, and our secrets according to tradition, been hidden. Then we can go home and once more get dressed Yes, Jem, it may be in fun,but it really is chilly in just my vest, :-0
