Yes, it's fantastic. As much as I love Andrew Lloyd's Webber's productions, Les Mis is far superior in my opinion.
How lovely, that you have managed to see such amazing shows. :-)

I saw EVITA in Swansea, with Marti Webb, which was very good, but probably better on a London Stage.

I went to see Evita in the pictures when the film version came out. I was expecting to hate her in it, but indeed, I thought she was great in it. As was Jonathan Pryce, and Antonio Banderas of course. :-)

I watched the 10 year anniversary of Les Mis & I still love it - the music is awsome.

I saw Michael Ball & Peter Polycarpou in the Stage production with Colm Wilkinson - so amazing - i can still hear it now

Same as the Phantom - i only went because my mother wanted to go & then i ended up seeing it 6 time - we were lucky to get to see Michael Crawford 2 or 3 times & Sarah Brightman just once & Michael Ball again. Wish i had seen Peter Polycarpou as the phantom.

Miss Saigon - not so keen on but saw the amazing Jonathan Pryce & Peter Polycarpou - he has such an amazing voice - i could listen to him for hours.

QG is so lucky to live in New Zealand - my OH has ancestors who went there in the 1880's - so he is longing to go when we retire - its just so expensive.

I watched the 10th Anniversary Live Recording of Les Miserables, last Sunday night! Oh it was fantastic! It's called DREAMCAST, cos it had all the best in it, including Michael Ball.

If I remember rightly, QG now lives in New Zealand.
Now I would love to visit there too :-)

They had the Sound of Music in London for my 21st Birthday - front row Dress Circle seats - Petula Clark & Michael Jayston - (he is not really a singer just an excellent actor) and one of my favorites - he sang this song directly to me - I will never forget it

When I was 13, I went on a school cruise to the Mediterranean.
Every morning on the ship, they would wake us up with a record.
On the last morning, when the ship had already docked back in Swansea, that was the song that was played! When I hear it now it always takes me back! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
