Good Afternoon Gang :-) :-)

Well I'm amazed! I have found a WELSH song sung by the Irish ENYA!

DAN Y DWR (Under or Beneath the water)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-dEdRwr2XU&feature=kp

Dan y dwr, tawelwch sydd.
Dan y dwr, galwaf i.
Nid yw'r swn gyda fi.

Dan y dwr, tawelwch am byth.
Dan y dwr, galwaf i.
Nid yw'r swn ddim fwy gyda fi.

Translation
Beneath the waters, there is silence.
Beneath the waters, I call you.
There is no company with me.

Beneath the waters, silent forever.
Beneath the waters, I call you.
The sound is no longer with me.

I THOUGHT IT WAS ABOUT A GUY CALLED DANIEL WHO WORKS ON THE WATER BOARD! Dan Y DWR (Dan the Water!) :-D :-D

It is, however, about the controversial drowning of Welsh-speaking villages in the 1960s :-( :-( :-(

Windmills of My Mind from 'The Thomas Crown Affair'.

A circle in a spiral, a wheel within a wheel,
Never ending or beginning, on an ever-spinning reel,
As the images unwind, like the circles that you find,
In the windmills of your mind.

Was so sad when Noel Harrison died. :-( :-(

Hi Prickles :-) :-)
Gene Pitney was a great favourite of mine and OH too. I wanted to go to see him when he came to Wales, but for one reason or another we didn't. Then we heard he had died in a hotel in Cardiff. :-0 :-( :-(
