Found this too
If your just talking about the '57 varieties' then.
The Heinz 57 Varieties slogan is synonymous with the name 'Heinz.' Our corporate history tells us that in 1896, Henry John Heinz noticed an advertisement for '21 styles of shoes.' He decided that his own products were not styles, but varieties. Although there were many more than 57 foods in production at the time, because the numbers '5' and '7' held a special significance for him and his wife, he adopted the slogan '57 Varieties.' Thus, a new advertising campaign was launched for Heinz 57 Varieties %97 and the rest is history!

Probably correct then:) Could be loved not lucky !
I'll put one up in the absence of Sue's OK , she can slap my hands later if it's wrong >lol.... Got to think of one first!

An interesting story.

It still could be correct tho Liz, perhaps.....

Henry John Heinz's Lucky Number was 5 and his Wife's Lucky Number was 7 - Which is why Heinz Advertizes 57 Varieties...?

*$parkling $andie* Report 25 Apr 2010 16:47

Very clever thought Liz:
Edit but look what I just found on google....
The company continued to grow, and in 1888 Heinz bought out his other two partners and reorganized the company as the H. J. Heinz Company, the name it carries to the present day. Its famous slogan, "57 varieties", was introduced by Heinz in 1896. Inspired by an advertisement he saw while riding an elevated train in New York City (a shoe store boasting of "21 styles"), Heinz picked the number more or less at random because he liked the sound of it, selecting 7 specifically because, as he put it, of the "psychological influence of that figure and of its alluring significance to people of all ages." (The company marketed far more than 57 varieties of product even at that point.)

I'll stick with the veg - I am mostly veggie.

I used to enjoy roast chicken or lamb but not had them for years. Beef was never a favourite.

Hi liz ~~
Must have been typing as you posted:)
Chicken roast today, it's the cheapest and most healthiest meat to eat, and all the family will eat it. Dau not keen on beef or lamb, neither am I since having the children, I used to love lamb and beef, but can only eat it now as chops or steaks!! I prefer it cooked less than they do, weird or what...lol
Loads of veg, I could just eat a plateful of that.. I'm not a veggie tho.
