Member Since: May 2005 Posts: 8,501 Send Message	Hi Girls I did come on earlier just before I went to see my Brother and the Neurosurgeon. But was only on for a few minutes. Well Steve wasn't too good today. Sat and stared into space most of the time. He looks very weak. It breaks your heart watching him. This isn;t a nice thing to talk about but it had to be decided. Neuorologist asked if we would donate Steve's brain to science as he is a rare case having the two diseases combined. My sister and I have discussed it and decided to let them do it. He explained in detail what would they would do but that nothing will show if we want a viewing when he passes away. His DNA tests have come back Negative but that does not mean that other family members won;t get it. As they could only test certain Genes (whatever that means) So we decided on the Autopsy and if Steve's brain can help anyone else in the future then it will have been worth it. Perth is very good with their research and we are hopeful that one day there will be a cure for this awful disease. He still can't put a time left for Steve he is surprised he has lasted this long. Neurologist doesnt think that he has any knowledge of what is happening to him as it is the frontal lobe that is affected. Hense he hasn't the capacity to think any more. Ok that's my bad news for the day. Good news is I am still alive and kicking and had a lovely afternoon tea with my sister after we had done what we had to do. Ok now I got to think about this question
