Oh yes I have been there with a council Daff

Our Theatre is Heritage Listed and when I was President of the Club I had argument after argument with them. The Raffles Hotel at the Canning Bridge wanted to buy our Theatre for development but because it is Heritage Listed they couldn;t do it. So the Council took our car park away and let the Raffles have it for their parking. We struggle now for parking for our patrons. Bet there was a few back handers when that happened.
Now we have a 17 story Raffles Hotel shadowing our Theatre where we could see the Canning River before and hardly any parking.

Don't mention apartments. a lovely old house near us was demolished to build a block of high rise concrete monstrosities. The councils do it for greed they get much more in rates from an apartment block than a single house. There is a place for apartments in the inner city but no need in outer suburbs, the so called developers are the councillors and real estate agents hiding behind dummy companies most of the time.

Sounds Beautiful
Just remined me of something that happened today

My sister and I took a wrong turn today and found a building which was all boarded up. It overlooks a Valley leading down to the Ocean. It was the most beautiful Buliding and my sister was most curious. We stopped and asked a Gentleman about it and it used to be a Phyciatric Home. By all accounts it is going to rack and ruin as the council and Heritage are arguing about it. Seems the council wants it turnned into Apartments

Such a Shame what a lovely place it could be. Vandals have got to it and they have had to board it all up

EDIT I bet there are a few Ghosts in there lol

The most beautiful tomb is not a royal one but that of Sennefer in the Tombs of the Nobles at Luxor the figures are natural rather than the stiff stylised ones in the royal tombs and the ceiling is not smooth but rough and painted with bunches of grapes that look really natural the bunches follow the contours of the uneven ceiling.

Just read this about Seti and found it amusing

One of the back chambers is decorated with the Ritual of the Opening of the Mouth, which stated that the mummy's eating and drinking organs were properly functioning. Believing in the need for these functions in the afterlife, this was a very important ritual.
