ShimmsRedRoseAndMistletoe Report 23 May 2009 13:36

Hi Sandie

SRS has just put a thread up saying she hopes our Australian cousins are okay, me too ... gosh winds of up to 55mph, beaches are closed with 20' waves.

Daphne I think was talking about the high winds yesterday, do hope she's okay. Jackie lives by the Indian Ocean, think that's a different place yet hoping Jackie, all of them are okay. xxx

Luvin your pink fleece dressing gown, ohh ... did you have to wash it again? Do hope its back to itself now. xxx

Gosh, thought I'd be up the wrong path, am so near so will try once more. Have been in the garden, such a glorious day. :))

the 20 Pound Bank of Scotland Note of 1969 had a Silver Scottish Thistle, Dots and Dashes t in Mid Centre S to Left , B. O. S. ( Bank of Scotland )

Morning Shimms,
or almost afternoon if you've been up since 4am,
I've been up since 7, but hubby was later and I had to do the hated Sat shopping...and it's Bank hol weekend ...chaos.
I'd put a wash on and when I took it out, it had hardly spun and it looks as if 'muck' is coming thro the drum cos my pink (you'd love it ) fleece dressing gown was covered in black spots where it was pressing against the drum !
So I've had to put the load back on again and just keep my fingers crossed.

Good go Shimms quite a few right :))

the 20 Pound Bank of Scotland Note of 1969 had a S S T, Dots and D t in M C S t L , B. O. S. ( Bank of Scotland )

I think has or had is acceptable as they are no longer in circulation,
I've just re read it and have put in an extra little 't' , it reads better.
Think I had too many vinos last night.
I had it written down but must have missed it out.....humble sorries :))
xx

Hi Jan~~ ~~
Had us all stuck,
other than Jackie popping on very early on ,we haven't seen her or Daphne all day.
I got on Sept 18 ?? the world's first............. last night but the date threw me.

On 15 September 1830 the World's First Inter-City P Railway was Opened, Running Between Liverpool and Manchester...?

jan50 Report 22 May 2009 21:15

Hi Sandie, Jackie and "a very welcome back" Shimms
I'd mentioned that the 18th shouldn't be taken as a "th" (sorry but couldn't think how else to do the date!). Shimm nearly got there:
on 15 September 1830 the world's first .....
Clue: the last L and M are two cities....
keep "on track" in mind....
