It has settled down in Perth today according to the news reports. We certainly go to extremes with weather at any time but this year has been really bad.It is unnaturally warm here at the moment and my Chinese jasmine is flowering it looks lovely but very strange in May.

*$parkling $andie* Report 23 May 2009 14:38

Hi Daff,
Fine here.
So glad to hear you're OK, and Perth is the 'otherside' to you, but Jackie said they had high winds.
Gosh you do have extreme weather conditions !
Weeks ago we were talking about the fires, phew !

Daphne

Daphne Report 23 May 2009 14:30

Hi Sandie and Shimms,
Hope you are both well.
It is quite mild here in Melbourne but northern New South Wales and parts of Queensland have severe flooding and some towns have been evacuated.
Perth is fine with only moderate winds today.

*$parkling $andie* Report 23 May 2009 14:10

I hadn't seen SRS thread about the bad weather being that bad in Oz.

But Jackie said that they'd had a neighbours large tree branch blown into their garden ( no one hurt thankfully ) and her sister had had their fence blown over, seems they've had more than one had wild windy day in Perth.
I do hope they don't have any structural damage to their houses and they are all OK.

Edit..re washed the clothes, they're fine, also done another one which is fine....so don't know what happened with the first.
Lol talking of dots, son said I should have dried my dressing gown as it was and pretended to be Cruella de Ville...!
