Hi Daff
Re Yvonne questions...
76:-
I thought played cos different 'quiz masters' phrase things differently.
I've heard of ' 76 trombones played the big parade', instead of 'played' some say 'led' and some say 'at'.
56:-
We thought of pence, but nothing ties up with that,
56lb (pounds) is half a cwt (a hundred weight )
think there maybe some letters missing as you say, but thanks for pondering it , I'm sure Yvonne will be looking in and perhaps she may join us sometime :)

Edit.. Liz , I was typing when you added, I'm sure Yvonne will appreciate all our help, same here I couldn't think of anything else.

Son's put the router back on as the thunderstorm appears to have passed, but we still have heavy rain.

Hi Liz ~~
How are you today ? Well I hope :)
Daff must be busy, she was on at 9.42am but didn't have a guess at the question up, so I assume she has other things on.
Yes a few words correct :)

E S T was Born on 28 July 1907, he was the Inventor of A P C f S F.

Clue ....Parties for these were popular in the 60 / 70's

Hi Sandie,
I had a look at Yvonne's questions and nothing springs to mind except the 76 Trombones but it doesn't fit properly.
Best try to break it down until it suggests something else.
76 Tory P the British Parliament
76 Tenors Played the British Proms
It seems to have a word missing, doesn't it?
56 P in a H W
Points
People
Players
Pence
Nothing springs to mind but it could be something local.
Not much help on this one I'm afraid.

Correction 6 posts in a row ! No one else around.
I think it's somewhere close , Jan will have to tell me tomorrow if it's right or wrong, so will put up another as I'm going to bed.

Should be around first thing to give a clue, but won't yet as giving dates.
