Hi Daff ~~~
Correct as per usual :)))
Charles Hardin Holly, Known Professionally as Buddy Holly, Born 7 September 1936,Died in a Plane Crash in 1959.
the Day was Later Called" the Day The Music Died" by Don McLean in his 1971 Song American Pie.

Don Mclean is a favourite of mine, and whilst thinking of questions, found out on the net all the supposed references in that song.
It was one we used to sing in our girl group, many yrs ago.lol

Hi folks~~
Not been on yet, cos bit of a family crisis to smooth over / avert.
Nothing major ,hubby's aunt 's(Ann) husband (Graham) wanted to put a surround on my hubby's mum's grave.( It has a head stone but no surround).
Graham's mum's grave is very close to my hubby's mum, and he goes there at least one a week. He also tends his cousin's and brother in law's which are also in close proximity .He's a bit fanatical about them being looking as best as they possibly can.
Graham was supposed to be a bearer at m.i.ls funeral but had done his back in and wasn't even able to come to the funeral.
So Ann thinks Graham is feeling a bit guilty for not attend the funeral and as he sees m.i.l grave each time he goes wants it to look as good as his own mum's.
I took the phone call and thought it was a nice gesture, so did my b.i.l, but I think hubby was wondering why the offer?...did the grave look untidy,?.... was he being criticised for not maintaining it properly !?
Graham was going to do it today, but hubby said he wasn't happy and wanted to speak to his brother first, so when replied to Ann this morning she was upset on the phone and hung up quite quickly cos we hadn't said yes straight away.
I cannot stand any family rifts ( don't have then my side of the family ) so I've been over to see her, she was just about to phone me back, but I got there first ! Hugs and all made up:))) Not that we had cross words, I could tell she was upset cos hubby hadn't said Yes straight away.
Phew ,silly things like that upset me....sorry for the rant !!

Lol Daff
I've been away and didn't know you'd answered Sue's question before, there's not one up at the mo I'll take the liberty of doing one:)
Back in a tick:)

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well today.

Suzian and Sandie this was my answer 10 pages back, since you weren't around to confirm, those who were accepted it as most likely correct and moved on.

Good night Jan

A thought from me.

I enjoy this type of thread - and if others don't, then my advice to them is to keep to the type of conversation they DO enjoy.

I don't think "they" realise A-Z's are not the only "quiz"-type threads! But they do seem to be going big-time about it! Just hope this don't mean the end of the line for us egg-heads! LOL! Just realised it's nearly midnight here so I must away - work tomorrow - UGH!
Not giving up on Sue's question but sure someone will get it before tomorrow. Night all. Been fun again.
