Normallly we get really mild winters but the cold is really biting.

I only have 1 glass of wine at night Sandie so I would be OK if they rang me. But even if I did have two which I occasionally do my OH never has more than one so he can drive if need be.

It's so cold here at the moment I can honestly say I have never known it so cold for so long. I donlt mind the cold at all but with this flu it just makes you feel worse.

It's a hard one to call tho!
We had a call from the hospital when dad was last in (early morning) both hubby and I had had a few glasses of wine a few hrs earlier so were a bit iffy about driving, they said they were concerned but not unduly, when I got to the hosp 3hrs later he'd just passed away.
If I have a relative in hosp again, I'll never drink whilst they are in there,just in case :(

Sorry to hear that you are still not really well yet and that your brother's condition has deteriorated.Do take care and keep warm, of course you want to visit your brother but you need to be sure you are past the contagious stage. Probably best to ask your doctor first.

Hi Ladies
So sorry I haven't been around for a few days. I'm still not feeling 100%. It is so cold and wet here and am just trying my best to keep warm.
Also had some bad news today My brother hasn't got out of bed for 3 days now so it looks like it is getting close to his time. He has always been so active and is now sleeping most of the time. I really want to go and see him but I don't want to jeopardize him with me having this flu. It's hard to know what to do.
So if by any chance you don't see me around for a few days you will know the reason why. I'll see how I am tomorrow and may go see him if I feel better

The snow melts within 24 hours except in some mountain areas.

We had 2 people die from flu this week in Melbourne, probably more because they tried to cover up those but it got out anyway.
One was dead before he was even tested although he had been in hospital a couple of days.
The whole thing is being badly mismanaged.
