Don't like the sound of Kassler sorry folks, the only pork I eat is loin but do not fancy it smoked,the only thing I can eat smoked is Haddock.

My pet grump at the moment is so called concentrated laundry liquids in tiny bottles that are no stronger than when they came in much larger bottles.

I buy big if I use a lot Daff but only small if it's only occasionally that I use it. Food is too expensive to waste these days

P makes Perfect.
Melbourne used to have a lot of small manufacturers of ethnic European foods but I think a lot of those small family places have closed sadly.
We have several Supermarkets handy but I notice they are getting rid of a lot of products lately specially the cheaper lines and smaller sizes.Although it makes sense to buy larger sizes of things if you use a lot but if you don't use much or the product has a short shelf life you don't want a huge expensive package.

I get mine in a jar Daff but it is imported from Germany.
My local has all kinds of foreign items. I have never seen it in the fridge sections though

It was easy to get a nice piece of kassler but I couldn't get sauerkraut, I eventually managed a big jar imported from Poland.You used to be able to get a local one in refridgerated plastic bags.
It was very nice anyway.We don't use a lot of meat either, the fruit and veg shop gets most of my shopping money.
