I am fine thanks.Cloudy and cold here.
Apart from the obvious L= 50 I have no idea just Mommsen's Hypothesis is something to do with Latin numerals I think.

Grey showery windy day here today :(
Late on as we've had the builders in looking at our dormer extension, it's been up 21 yrs and needs some work on it !

Is that the full answer Daph or do we still need the U and R ?
Other than l know that the Roman / Latin letter L stands for 50, I'm stumped !!
I was a a bit thrown when the G went to a g,and each went to every, but Sue was only trying to help :)
There are a few Mommsen,if your answer is correct , will have to check them out

You've changed the last bit in brackets but I suppose it means the same.

Any of these other little words correct ?

Anything to do with strip poker.lol?

Only did Latin in the first yr with our headmistress, no one took it seriously
and jokes were played on her more often than not by me or one of the boys each lesson. Should have paid more attention .lol
All I remember is
