Hi Daph~~~
It's a pain ,to say the least without power, we don't have a back up generator so are stuffed when the electric goes off, although we have gas, it is ignited by electric, so the only gas we can have is the hob by lighting it by a match, fire or oven won't light.
I didn't think it was fathoms,
There are 8 furlongs in a mile, but only 10 chains in a furlong,
I assume they are both of the same measures, perhaps Sue put 20 in error?

HI Everyone
Is there anyone around tonight?

Seems ages since I chatted with you all

How are you all?

Daphne

Daphne Report 22 Jul 2009 13:39

And that's as far as I get because there are 10 chains in a furlong not 20.
Ratz
Are we allowed say Ratz ?

Hi Sandie,
How are you today?
Power has been off for 3 hours which meant no internet, or light or heat.Net is back on but extremely slow, lights etc working but who knows for how long.Since everything was privatized we get third world service.
You were correct with the oysters
a Popular 1st Course Oysters Kilpatrick are Oysters Grilled with Bacon and Worcestershire Sauce.

20 C in a Furlong; 8 Furlongs in a Mile
