I've always had dogs, as a child and then in later years when we had my dad's dog ( I got him from the rescue centre after my mum died,but although he lived with dad, he was always mine, would obey anything I said but would play up dad:)
They know who is boss!!
My first dog was born a week before me, mum came home from ante natal clinic to find a litter of pups at the bottom of the stairs, my sister is 4 yrs older than me, so he grew up with children, but it was dad and I that obeyed.
2nd dog WAS mine, he was a mongrel, I exchanged him for my 3 wheeler bike..
He would do anything at command by me ,not so good with the rest of the family.
He was not neutered and unfortunately got knocked down by a vehicle whilst womanising , he was in the garden but would scale the wall or even jump down the one wall if he had urges.He would often wander and on more than on occasion I had found him a few miles away and literally carried him home whilst driving my motor bike. We lived in a valley village and could see the other side quite easily if he'd disappear and i could spot him, it only needed 'our' whistle to bring him home.
Still thinking on the question, but love my dogs, sorry to go on !!

Just taken my neighbours and her dau dog out for a walk, all of us are drenched, needed to wash my hair anyway !
Have I said' what' cos the w is bugging me now !
Must wash my hair, don't blow dry it any more unless I'm in a rush, I use velcro rollers, just so that it goes in the direction I want it to. Curly hair has a tendency to do it's own thing !!!

I'm a bit the same Daph, never been abused tho,criticised once for deleting my posts because I was ignored, although my posts or their deletions didn't disrupt the flow of the thread anyway. Funnily enough it was by a guy I speak to fairly often and it was on the Aussie Only thread. When I explained my reasons for deleting he grovelled and apologised.
