Hi All

Glad you've had some fun from the thread, Diane.

I certainly have. Enjoy your trip, won't you.

Right, Jan - F must be four or five - both Enid Blyton numbers

So, how about 4/5 on a Treasure Island - that sounds Blyton-esque

Hi Sue: You got the author correct in the clue! I'll give you 1942 as well.
Could the first "F" begin with a number?? She asks enigmatically!!
"F o a T I" by Enid Blyton was Published in 1942/3

Diane: Hope you enjoy your trip to the IoM albeit for work! Let us know how you enjoy the Manx kippers! (They used to be a speciality over there.)

Hi Sue and all that come on later
Sue I know the answer to your one but as I came on to post that I wont be around for a week as I'm off to the Isle-of-man with my employer I won't put it up.

I hope by the time I return this thread has livened up and more people have joined us, as it is very quite around here and it would be a shame for it not to continue, it was the first thread I came on when I discovered about the thread's.

Well see you all in a week take care

Anyway, here's your clue (picking up on the Famous Five stuff) - Enid Blyton

And if that doesn't make it easy enough, remember Fatty and the Five Find-outers?
