Having said that, we had a thunderstorm so thought I'd better put computer off for a bit. Sun's back now - for 5 minutes!

Can't wear varifocals myself, unfortunately, so have two pairs of glasses. One for distance and one for reading/computing! Darned nuisance really as I tend to go walking around with the wrong pair on!
Talking of hot matches! For once one has come up trumps! Am meeting with a "cousin-removed" next week when I'm back in Blighty! First contact in around 45 years! And, yes, all the family ties tie in! Whooo! Should be interesting!
Anyway back to the clue:

I've been through 15pages of hot matches 3 look good, but I have had 2 red hot matches in the past and the peeps are no longer members the one being a cousin whom I met recently and said she hadn't gone back further than our grandfather, which I have ! Another one goes back quite a bit further but alas I get no replies from her.Which is a shame !
I Still have 10 pages left of hot matches, I think they must be clearing out the Jones's ,( my uncle married a Jones) and the Williams's, my gran was a Williams !
My right hand is aching now but I must do our beloved home grown Kidney beans for tea... took me 45 mins to do a panful for 4 on Sunday and we don't want them to go go stringy and waste..... Then there's the broad beans but they're easier, I'll get hubby to do the peas and pots!
I'd rather go and have a lie down!!!

I've thought about it but eye site is so precious and | have heard some bad press on it.
I'm used to to varifocals now, but know what you mean about stairs, and i take mine off for reading and using the computer.Sounds stange i know but depends how close i am to the item !
Initially i found them difficullllllllllt for driving but now have no probs
I'll leave that last sentence as I wrote it it ,cos that's what this blinking keyboard does !
My son wears contacts, never worn glasses he's 20 can't wait to have the laser vision correction, think you have to be 25 ?
I've worn glasses or contacts for 30yrs, I think glasses are best now as they hide the bags under my eyes'lol.
I still wear contacts for holidays, have an optician friend who will check them and prescribe me a month or 2.

Mention not varifocals to me, Sandie!


I find them most disconcerting when walking downstairs - the stairs look like I'm on a moving walkway and I struggle to know where to put my feet. Seriously thinking about trying laser vision correction.

Never thought it would've come to this!

(although googlle and others do not use the little 'a' but I think it reads better with it so should have put it in first...apologises again.
Gosh it's time I put my glasses on I normally can't use then with the puter in the day They are varifocals and depends at what angle you are looking at the screen...lol I'm a bit slumped now with my feet on the bed !

Perhaps I should have put just an 'a' in before the S, it may read easier .
Google and others don't have it it but it may read easier.
