To have had a good relationship with your boss and now his mum must mean a lot, It's very sad he cannot speak or do anything for himself, many people have to go into a home as their OH can't manage.
Women can cope better than men .I feel;
Dad looked after mum at home after she'd had 2 strokes and a heart attack, but after her last one he was 78 he couldn't manage her at home on his own, and after another hospitalisation she was declared as needing palliative treatment and spent her last weeks in a residential home.

She's great Sandie,you should see the pressy's I'v had off her for my birthday and christmas, eg. £100 plus 3 or 4 present's one christmas, £100 and a £70 pr of trainer's for birthday, and when she won on the lottery the other wk she gave me a cheque for £100. We are great friend's and she treat's me like a member of the family not as a carer.

No Sandie the wheel chair user is my employer, I'm his carer, his mum is the person who tell's me what help is needed on his behalf as he cannot speak or do anything for himself, but when I have to give my employer's name it is his that I have to give, If you follow all that. Often when we are messing around she say's if you don't do as your told I'll sack you and I alway's reply , you can't your not my boss.

Is the wheelchair user your bosses son ? Not your relative .?
I bet it's hard work, with a wheelchair. I've only ever used one when mum or dad were in hosp and I was hopeless with it !

I haven't felt inclined to go on the boards for a while , although if there's nothing on tele in the evening i pop on. No fault involved Di on your part there's other peeps about !!

sorry I haven't been on since the 2nd been rather busy, Sandie I got back from the I.O.M on Monday at around 7-30pm and I was lucky if I got 10mins rest all the time I was there, I felt exhausted when I got home and haven't stopped since I came back, I would love to go to the I.O.M on my own and enjoy the place at my leasure instead of haveing to push and lift a wheelchair around every day and help a disabled person up and down stair's, in and out of Taxi's, don't get me wrong I do enjoy going with them, but it is hard work looking after the disabled son full time we are there as his mother is 75yrs and isn't able to do any of the heavy stuff.

Well enough of that I suppose I'd better put one up as there has been no activity since you were on on the 3rd, my fault I know for not being here as it is my turn

Sorry the weather wasn't too good but it has been terrible here and according to the forecasters for the last few days not the best!,

meaning toilets and other help like for mums with babies.
