Hi ArgyllGran
Thankyou for the information I have looked him up in the past
It was actually using Ada Enderbury line being different name that I managed to find him
I knew he was in the RAF and I have actually been to the chip shop which his wife ran in the war whilst he was away .... I have some great pictures of him so I know I’m lucky
I know he ran a Hotel in Morecambe for a number of years he left Morecambe with Lorna and her daughter.... who said to my mother you will never see him again we are moving ... sad my mother never did see him again I did find out he was a warden in a care home somewhere in Leeds
Thankyou for taking the time you have filled some gaps
I will try the RAF for any info (do you think it’s worth going down this line
My next stop is to get a copy of his death and find his grave and visit and pay my
respects
I really appreciate you taking the time and use of your knowledge I’m fascinated
My mother passed away I’m his eldest grandchild in my 60,s will they let me access his records ?

As Amy remarried in 1951, I wonder if this might be a remarriage for Albert?
(Just a possibility)

INGHAM Lorna D ROUND Lancaster 10c 1379
ROUND Albert SMITH Lancaster 10c 1379
ROUND Albert INGHAM Lancaster 10c 1379

Lorna's previous marriage:

Ingham Charles Benjamin Leeds 9b 476

GILBY, SARAH EMILY mmn BUCKTON
GRO Reference: 1867 S Quarter in KIRKSTALL Volume 09B Page 270

But they had no children up to 1911
So I don't know how Lorna fits in, either as a child or grandchild of Sarah - possibly adopted?.
Can't see her birth - or death.

However, that's not relevant to Albert Round.

From 1956 to 1961 (as far as ERs on Ancestry go) -

Albert Round
in the West Yorkshire, England, Electoral Registers, 1840-1962
Name: Albert Round [ and Lorna Doreen Round ]
Year: 1956
Country: England
County: West Yorkshire
Parliamentary Division: Skipton
Place of Abode: The Cottage, Little Stainforth
Reference Number: SKIP:22/1

and then another marriage for Lorna ??

EDIT:
Deleted the marriage (1964 in Leeds) as it's not hers. (See ErikaH's post below - on 27 April at 13:05)

Don't know where Albert was between 1961 and 1974.

Who were his parents? It doesn't sound as if you've done any research into him.

There are three possible births:

My Grandfather was an Adjutant with the RAF
He was called Albert Round born around 1905 in Smethwick Birmingham
He joined the RAF 1921 until 1945
I do not have a service No for him but am very interested to find out where he served
before being made Adjutant

I know he was stationed in the clarendon Hotel in Morecambe
and I believe he died 1974
