Member Since: March 2005 Posts: 43 Send Message	Hi So I have the wonderful job of working at upnor castle in kent and am very interested in finding out its history in the 19th century During the late 18th century a purposed built barrack was built for the garrison and their families there are garrisons and workers at working castle listed anywhere or are they just as individuals under the census?

	Sounds a great job. There were no census in the 18th century, the first online we have is 1841, then every 10 years to 1911. this should help you https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/research-guides/census-records/
