You may be able to find war diaries that will give you a general idea where the regiment served but they were split into companies, battalions etc. and could be in several places. |

No records online for the armed services from the early 1920 onwards as they will still be with MOD. |

My father David William Grieve Edie , (David W.G.Edie ) was in black watch ,Royal highlanders during the second world war .his service number was 2756608, not sure which battalion he was in? would like to know where exactly he was/ fought in WW2 , be grateful for any help .thanks Helen Barclay |
