tried my local library for a search but said it would cost £8.00 with no guarantee that it would be found. |

Greyghost, I have done that on occasion, but if you check on World Catalogue (a great site which tells you where any book is) it says that there is only one copy in a library--in Stockholm!!! Which it tells me, helpfully, is 859 miles away. |

Ask your library to check on their system if the book is held by any other library. Have done that several times locally. |

A seller on Amazon has a copy for £24.05 + £2.80 p&p. That seems to be the cheapest around. Click on the ‘see 5 all formats & editions’ then light blue £24.05. |
