The Terrys were incorporated into the main British Army at the outbreak of war. As such, his records could still be with the MOD.

It would cost you £30 to apply for a copy, unless he or his widow was able to sign the form.

If, for some reason, he wasn't taken on the main strength, then any records could be in a local archive. Best to explore those options on the above link first before sending off £30.

I am trying to find information on my granddad who I have been told was in the Territorial Army. Name is George Copeland. I am not sure of the years of service and I do not have a rank or army number for him. He does have an army medal in a photo that I was shown, but the photo is not clear enough to see the medal. He was born in 1919, so service dates could start at 1937 when he turned 18. Any help would be appreciated.
