I am trying to locate the RAF Service Number of the following person. He was an RAF Pilot in WW2. I don't know where he was stationed or any service specific details.
James William Hudson. was born in July 1907 in Sheerness Kent and he passed away in May 1989.

If anyone could kindly help with a lookup, I would be very grateful. sites, I know there is the CWG. I heard some time ago about a site to trace medals that were awarded to personnel, but I cannot remember what it was.

Thank you in advance

I apologise if this is the incorrect board. I will repost if needed on the correct one if you let me know which it is.
Thanks

Were you thinking of this?

They don't have anything that aren't held by other subscription sites. WW2 records are still with the MOD.

You might find a reference for him here

Apparently Ancestry have been given the licence to publish some records which they've incorporated into their Fold3 site. That has a separate or additional sub to the normal subscription.

Failing that, you could apply via the MOD for a copy of his service records. They will cost £30.
This is the link for obtaining UK service records:

Thank you for the suggestions, I can't find anything, but as a complete Novice for service records I am not surprised. I looked earlier on Ancestry but only found a brief sample of records. As the saying goes a work in progress.
Thanks again
