Pete Report 25 Nov 2016 12:56

I am looking for any information on 1057912 Sergeant William Oates RAFVR who lost his life on the 15/12/1941 in Hampden AT133 EQ-X 408 Squadron RCAF, in a bombing operation over the docks in Cherbourg. According to the Squadron ORB the aircraft left RAF Balderton at 00.30 hrs on the 15/12/1941 and nothing more was heard. His name along with those of his crew mates are on the Runnymede Memorial.
This was his first operational trip.
His age and next of kin are what I am looking for but any other information is most welcome.
Thanks Pete
