Thank you for reminding me to reply to your post. I have followed up on your info and hopefully will find some information soon. Must apologise for not replying sooner but I dont sit glued to my computer and only go on this site once a week

Documents for those who served post 1920 are still with MOD. See link below.

Widows/widowers can get the documents free other relatives £30 and you have a several months wait.

My father was James Martin Gauld, born in 1928. he lived in Bathgate/Edinburgh area of Scotland As far as I know he was in Royal Army Service Core as a dispatch rider. Any info would be gratefully appreciated
