Thank you for your replies, I have looked at the MOD site and the form I hope they can find him as I have a number but I'm not 100% sure that it is his service Number as it was scribbled on the back of a photo. Thank you anyway |

Wives and children get significantly more info than more distant relolies/strangers, so have your wife apply. |

WW2 service records are still with the MOD and are not online. Have a look here to find out how to apply for them (they will cost £30 and take quite a while to arrive):- |

I am trying to find any information about my father in law's military record. I know he served in India and Burma WW2 and we are pretty sure he was in the Chindits. I have entered his name in various sites but it would seem that he isn't there, can anyone give any suggestions please. |
