I have noticed that there is a list covering Army Deserters.

One of my past relatives was Thomas Sheward born 1812/1815 in Astley, Worcestershire and later lived in Hartlebury, Worcestershire.

Does any one have access to this list and could they help me with any information from it too.

I take it that he Deserted from some barracks in Woolwich.

Interestingly, the NA site gives other references for Thomas Sheward who may be related to 'yours'.

I would imagine that Royal Marines would be right as DetEcTive has found.
