Many thanks

Served 8 years 66 days

1 10/12 yrs - almost 2 years in Turkey at the Crimea

2 3/4 yrs East Indies

Difficult to read but he had medals with clasp as he fought at Alma and Inkerman (Crimea)

Some is about his conduct, there is reference to good conduct medals but can't tell if he was or wasn't awarded them. - sorry will look later as of out soon.

Medical after service in good general health but an enlarged liver due to service. May have had some tropical disease?????

Asking to be a Chelsea Pensioner - code put in so don't know if he got it and why or didn't and why. - sorry

Another quick look - he is not in possession of any good conduct medals.

Add Sebastable and Turkish medals.

He was never wounded.

He was never court martialed but was in the defaulters book. - That means he had at times been a bad lad but would have been more minor offences. e.g. late on parade or drunk etc.
