Thank you for your response to my query regarding Jack Stewart.
There was a bit of extra information about him from you both that I had never seen and for that I am very grateful.

Yes, that article is him.

Looking at his service records he was actually wounded on 3rd June - 19th June is when the notification was received.

I'm not sure how much more could be found out about his actual injuries, it's pretty clear he received gunshot wounds to the head and neck resulting in serious damage to his face and scalp.

I doubt that you will be able to find out more information about how the injuries occurred unless there is a regimental museum which has copies of war diaries from the time.

Since you have the exact date that he was injured does that mean you already have his service records?

How can I find out further information in regards to the injuries that Jack suffered in WW1. His military records only state - gunshot wound to the neck and head.

He survived this injury, but did not take part in any further action.

Regiment: 1st Battalion A.I.R 6th company

Injured on 19.6.1916 returned to NZ in Nov 1916
