Hi Kath the number is actually stamped on a 1953 WD spoon so its after WW2. 23362212 could be MELLOR or DAWSON thanks. |

Nothing comes up for that number (although I didn't think it would). It is probably from WW2 and as I said they are not online yet but still with the MOD. |

I am reliably informed that eight digit numbers beginning 2336 were issued from Oct 1955 to May 1956. My own, 2382.... was issued May 1961. |
