The Laconia Incident

I would be interested to hear from anyone related to or know of someone lost or who survived the sinking of the Laconia .....
My uncle was on board returning to the UK as a passenger recuperating after having been a casualty during an earlier incident involving his then ship..... He was classed lost at sea after the Laconia was sunk .
I am grateful for any information about this incident .

For reference, the sinking occurred on 12 Sep 1942

Might it be possible to manipulate the CWGC site to find casualties using that date? You could then 'search all members trees' to see if they are listed. The tree owners may have further information.

Theres an awful lot on the internet about the 'Incident' if you wanted to know more about that aspect.
