Can anyone help with my research of my dads army career, he served many years in the royal Devon yeomanry, Barnstaple, also a short time in the voluntary tank regiment during the 1960's, unfortunately I don't know his army number, I have also been led to believe that he was awarded the Burma star. |

Army records post 1920 are still with the MOD. You can apply for them at a cost of £30 and there could be a wait of several months for them to arrive. |

OK, thankyou for your advice, I I'll try and find out his army number from relatives and proceed from there as I will need his number if I go through the MOD. |

Even if you can't find his army number I would still get in touch with the MOD. Sometimes they can still find the correct records without it. |
