That's the one Eringobragh1916, Thank you for finding it.
Yes I know a very long thread, with a lot of help from GR members I have found all my ancestors BMD's apart from Ann Stewart/Mitchell, hit a big brickwall with her.

Thank you Potty , don't know how I didn't find this, although I have just started looking for them .
On my other thread about my Ann ( don't know where that's gone ) in the 1861census she is living in Stirling Street and her occupation is french polisher but no sign of her after this .
I have been looking on familysearch for any children born to Ann Stewart after 1861 in Glasgow and came up with this one for James, as I say I am clutching at straws.

Glitterbaby,
Thank you for looking, Yes just looking for James McPherson born in Glasgow. His parents are Robert McPherson and Ann Stewart. I have his birth certificate from Scotlandspeople which shows his parents are Robert McPherson and Ann Stewart. It shows he is illegitimate and born at 33, Hill Street, Anderston, Glasgow.
I can't seem to find them on any census .
I am really clutching at straws with this one as it is his mother Ann Stewart I am looking for. I have not been able to find a marriage or death for her.
The Ann Stewart I am looking for has parents Alexander and Agnes nee Mitchell. I have another thread on Genes somewhere with all her details but I can't seem to find it.
