WW2 records are still with the MOD and not online.

You can order them from here:-

Royal Air Force Records
For all since 1918.

RAF Disclosures Section
Room 221b, Trenchard Hall, RAF Cranwell, Sleaford, Lincs NG34 8HB
Tel: 01400 261201 Ext 6711

I think they cost £30 and might take several months to arrive.

Hi Emma

WW2 records, and any service later than 1920 are still with the MOD.

This is the link for obtaining UK service records:
http://www.veterans-uk.info/service_records/service_records.html

You can order them at a cost of £30, or if your grandfather or grandmother are still alive they can apply free. :-)

Hi,
Can anyone help. I'm looking for records or info on my Grandad.
William John Wilson, born 7.7.1916. He was in the RAF.
He was born in Northern Ireland,(not sure if it was N.Ireland back in 1916 or just Ireland) but i'm unsure how to find his records. He didn't die in the war but i'd like to know where he was stationed and his medals etc? Or a record that I can get printed off??
Can anyone help?
Thanks
