I have three medals issued to the above in WW1, the usual three issued to all serving members of the armed forces. I am assuming that VAD refers to the Voluntary Aid Detachment, and therefore that the recipient was a woman. There is no other information on the medals other than the name and letters as above. I have no idea who this person was, but being inquisitive would like to find out. If I could find a direct descendant I would be happy to return them. Bob |
